Oral Surgery Assistant - Full Time
Oral & Facial Surgeons of Michigan, a private Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Practice, includes 3 locations with 4 providers.
Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Coordinator and the Provider, the Oral Surgery Assistant assists the Provider by providing high quality patient care using the correct method of passing surgical instruments, maximizing patient and staff safety at all times. The Assistant facilitates the Provider by providing services including; collection of vital signs, chart documentation, preforming radiographs, and preforming procedures in compliance with the oral surgery practice.
JOB DUTIES:
Assist the Provider with Oral Surgery Procedures
Vitals Signs and Chart Documentation
Takes Diagnostic Radiographs: Periapical, Panoramic, and Dental Cone Beam CT
Taking Impressions and Pouring Diagnostic Models
Delivers Pre- and Post-Operative Care Instructions to Patients and Family
Maintains Office Supplies, Equipment, and Instruments
Sterilization of Procedure Rooms and Instrumentation
Qualifications:
We are looking for a candidate with the ability to work quickly and efficiently, while producing quality work. The candidate must be highly organized and detailed oriented. The candidate must be reliable and have strong interpersonal communication skills. We are looking for a team player who works well with other team members and patients.
Previous chair side experience, preferably in and oral surgery setting
Michigan X-Ray Certification, Preferred
CPR Certification
